Albanese urges Labor to challenge One Nation over working-class issues
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told Labor delegates that the party should counter One Nation with policies focused on workers and multiculturalism.
Speaking at Labor's Queensland state conference, Albanese described defeating One Nation as a priority and argued that its policies would not help working people. He reaffirmed Labor's support for multiculturalism.
Albanese also said Australia would remain active in the Pacific ahead of the Pacific Islands Forum in Palau and defended workforce programs that bring Pacific Island workers to Australia.
