Ambi says it raised $26 million for ambient AI assistant apps

Ambi, founded by former Plaud executive Peter Mo, said it has raised $26 million across funding rounds led by Luminous Ventures and Huaqin. The company also released apps for iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch that it says can provide context-based assistance.
TechCrunch reported that ambient capture is off by default, according to Ambi, while the company plans a hardware device and a desktop app. The report noted unresolved privacy and disclosure concerns around always-listening products.
