At least seven dead after ferry capsizes off northern Cyprus

The region’s prime minister said 237 people had been rescued after the ferry capsized off Kyrenia while traveling toward Taşucu in Turkey. Search-and-rescue crews were looking for 23 missing people.

He said the vessel encountered adverse weather and began taking on water shortly after departure. The cause had not been established.
