Colombian authorities say three minors died in military strike on FARC dissidents
Colombian authorities said three minors were among 10 people killed in an August 27 military strike on suspected FARC dissidents in Guaviare department.
Colombia's forensic institute said 10 people died in the August 27 operation, while the Defense Ministry identified two victims as 15 and one as 16. Authorities alleged that those killed belonged to a FARC dissident faction that rejected the 2016 peace accord.
The deaths come as Human Rights Watch reports renewed growth in child recruitment by armed groups in Colombia.
