Columbia police officer killed and another wounded after domestic-dispute call
Columbia police said one officer and a suspect died and a second officer was wounded after officers responded to a domestic-dispute call in South Carolina.
Columbia Police Chief W.H. Holbrook identified the officer who died as Christopher DeLong, 29, and said officer David Dymock was in stable condition. Police said the encounter began after a woman reported that a man subject to a restraining order was damaging property at her home.
Holbrook said the suspect also died. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the shooting.
