Fuel supplier alleges company behind Freedom Fuel stations failed to pay nearly $4 million
Mansfield Oil alleges KRSM obtained about 1.1 million gallons of fuel worth nearly $4 million without paying and sold some through Freedom Fuel stations.
Mansfield Oil alleges in an Aug. 19 federal lawsuit that KRSM obtained about 1.1 million gallons of fuel from May 21 through July 7 and had not paid nearly $4 million owed as of Aug. 17. The complaint says KRSM sold some of the fuel through Freedom Fuel Network stations.
The Trump administration promoted the privately operated stations in July for their prices. The allegations have not been adjudicated, and The Hill reported seeking comment from Freedom Fuel and the White House.
