In-person voting begins in Virginia as 2026 US midterms approach
Virginia opened in-person early voting Friday, while voters in several other states can now submit absentee ballots in person ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms.
In-person early voting began in Virginia six weeks before the Nov. 3 midterm elections. Idaho, Minnesota and South Dakota are among the states where voters can submit absentee ballots in person, with broader early voting due to begin in coming weeks.
The election will determine control of the US House and Senate, alongside gubernatorial and state legislative contests in most states.
