Iranian officials report five killed in blast near wedding during U.S. strikes
Iranian officials said a blast near a wedding in Kuhestak killed at least five people and injured 68; the U.S. said it was reviewing civilian-casualty reports.
Iranian authorities said at least five people were killed and 68 injured when a blast hit near a wedding at a private home in Kuhestak during U.S. strikes on southern Iran. It remained unclear whether the home was struck directly or was hit by debris from a nearby strike.
U.S. Central Command said its operation targeted Iranian military sites and that it was aware of reports of civilian casualties. Iran’s Foreign Ministry accused the United States of a war crime.
