NASA adds OroraTech thermal satellite data to commercial acquisition program
NASA said its Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition program acquired OroraTech datasets for uses including fire detection and land-temperature monitoring.
NASA said the acquired products include thermal infrared imagery, near-real-time active-fire detections and land-surface temperature data. OroraTech's constellation offers coverage up to twice daily in 2026.
NASA said products from newly awarded commercial providers are undergoing evaluation and access remains subject to program review and licensing terms.
