NASA selects 12 crop and astronaut-health studies for space exploration
NASA selected 12 studies on off-planet food production and the effects of space conditions on astronaut health.
NASA selected six crop-focused investigations and six precision-health projects for future human exploration. The studies include work on edible plants, lunar-dust exposure, radiation and cellular changes caused by spaceflight stressors.
The agency said the awards will total more than $7 million when fully implemented across fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
