OpenAI said visual display ads will begin appearing beside ChatGPT image-generation results for U.S. users later this month.
OpenAI announced that the ads will be clearly labeled and will not affect ChatGPT's answers. The company said the initial rollout will use a test group of advertisers.
The company also announced expanded advertising measurement tools and partnerships as it develops its ad business.
