ProPublica catalog identifies 506 U.S. citizens detained in immigration enforcement actions
ProPublica reported that its review identified 506 U.S. citizens detained by immigration agents between January 2025 and September 2026.
The newsroom said its database draws on reporting, court records, government statements and other sources, and includes people held after questions about citizenship or accusations of interfering with agents.
The Department of Homeland Security defended its enforcement operations and said agents conduct due diligence, according to ProPublica.
