Robert Hall and Michael Woodford receive 2026 economics Nobel

Robert Hall and Michael Woodford received the 2026 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. Nature reported that the award recognized their research on economic stabilization, including inflation, growth and employment fluctuations.

The prize committee said their work reshaped stabilization policy used by central banks and finance ministries.
