Anton Siluanov attended a G20 finance meeting in person for the first time since Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine and held bilateral talks with Scott Bessent. A US official said their meeting focused on Washington's Ukraine peace plan.
Several European ministers criticized Russia's return, and European officials declined to include Siluanov in the meeting's group photograph.
