Six Flags closes nine similar coasters after rider dies in Georgia
Six Flags temporarily closed nine similar roller coasters after a rider died on the Goliath ride at Six Flags Over Georgia, while state officials began a review.
Authorities said Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, 42, was thrown from the Goliath roller coaster on Monday. Georgia's ride-safety regulator said it was conducting an in-depth review.
Six Flags said it closed comparable rides across North America as a precaution while the incident is investigated.
