South Korea says it will investigate fuel shipments from its ports to Russia

South Korea said it would investigate reported fuel shipments to Russia and take legal action if it finds domestic laws were broken.

South Korea's foreign and trade ministries and customs service said they were checking reported fuel shipments from South Korean ports to Russia. The government said it would act according to law if its review finds violations.

The Guardian reported that port records and ship-tracking data showed more than 176,000 tonnes of fuel were loaded on tankers that later made voyages to Russia's Far East in July and August.
