Volunteer team rescues climber from Sierra Nevada ledge after 15-hour operation
A four-person volunteer team rescued a climber stranded on a narrow ledge near Mammoth Lakes, California, after an operation lasting more than 15 hours.
The Mono County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team said the climber became stranded after going off route in a steep gully near Mammoth Lakes. Four volunteers completed the technical rescue last weekend after an operation lasting more than 15 hours.
