Webb observations identify brown dwarfs as small as twice Jupiter's mass in IC 348

NASA said Webb observations of the IC 348 star-forming region identified brown dwarfs with about twice Jupiter's mass.

NASA reported that researchers using the James Webb Space Telescope identified brown dwarfs with about twice Jupiter's mass in IC 348, a star-forming region roughly 1,000 light-years from Earth. The observations also captured young stars producing jets that strike surrounding gas and dust.
